
An Icelandic Airline
MD Airlines is an Icelandic charter airline formed
in 1997 and operated DC-8 Cargo airplanes under the name MD Flugfelagid.
The name was changed to MD Airlines in December 1999 to reflect
changes in operations and subsequently it's first passenger flight
took place in Stockholm 13 April 2000
The company has Air Operator Certificate JAR-OPS1 issued by the
Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration. Our headquarters are in
Kópavogur in Iceland with operational base at Arlanda airport
in Stockholm, Sweden. We currently fly to 10 destinations in Europe
with the capacity to carry more than 300.000 passengers annually.
